Adhesive Sponge Rubber Neoprene Tape is a form of closed cell rubber tape that is both very economical and versatile. This tape has a peel-off adhesive on one side and can be easily stuck in place on most types of surfaces and materials. When its compressed (by just 10%) this tape will form a water tight seal that is very long lasting.
Based on Neoprene rubber, this tape is an excellent option for sealing around things like windows, doors or joins in metal with narrow sealing faces and little compression. It is flame retardant and able to be used indoors or outdoors. Being a Neoprene based rubber sponge tape, it also has excellent resistance to oil, weather and ozone.
Depending on who you ask, this type of tape can go by a number of different names. These include generic terms like weather-strip and sponge rubber tape through to more precise names like Closed Cell Sponge Rubber, Chloroprene Sponge Tape and Adhesive Backed Neoprene Sponge.
